Steve Stricker has won 12 Events of Golf

Steve Stricker is a professional golfer from the United States of America who is a member of the US PGA Tour.

Stricker is the winner of twelve events in the US PGA Tour, the chief among them being the World Golf Championship – Accenture Match Play Championship as well as two playoff events of the FedEx Cup. The most successful season the veteran has had on the Tour was in 2009 when he won three tournaments on Tour and finished second in the prestigious Money list.

The highest standing that the American managed on the Official Golf World Rankings was at number two and he spent a cumulative 57 weeks in the top ten between 2007 and 2008 and was present there for another 157 consecutive weeks between 2009 and 2012.

Steve Stricker turned professional in 1990 and began to play on the Canadian Professional Golf Tour, winning two tournaments. He was given membership of the US PGA Tour in 1994 and soon enough, won his first titles when he secured two victories in 1996.

Despite being a consistent performer in the major championships, Stricker has not managed to win a single major throughout his long career as a professional and the best result he managed on the majors was a runner up finish at the PGA Championship in 1998.

But the US Open has seen Steve Stricker at his most consistent best and he has finished inside the top 20 on six occasions.

Stricker went through a major slump for a long time between 2001 and 2004 and finally, he lost his Tour card at the US PGA Tour before making a comeback to the Tour on the back of sponsorship money and was voted as the US PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year in 2006 as well.
