Many people are still unsure about what Tiger Woods plans to do about the Masters tournament scheduled for the 10th of next month and now, it has emerged that the player concerned himself isn’t sure about whether he will be available to tee off at the event or not.
And the reason for his doubts is that ailing which has landed him in trouble several times over the last few months and hasn’t healed completely despite the player taking some time off his schedule.
Woods was speaking at a press conference to announce a new sponsor for his tournament and during that brief press meet, he said the same thing that he wrote in his website a few days back – it was too early to comment on the Masters, adding that it was still too soon to say whether he will be healthy enough to tee off at the first major tournament of the year in Augusta.
He stated that for the Augusta Masters, it is still too early to comment. He mentioned that is the frustrating thing because he had taken a couple of weeks off and working on trying to be ready for the Augusta National. He reiterated that it was still too soon to comment and it was very frustrating.
It could be said that missing a major championship at this juncture of his career could be a huge blow to his future ambitions but it is also important to him to regain full fitness than finishing four rounds at the Augusta National as well.
Woods has not the Augusta Masters since his last win in 2005 and he has not won a major title in a long time as well, being stuck on 14 major honors as he chases the legendary Jack Nicklaus’s record of 18.
